Scene Setting

The usual Monday evening. Trying to stay awake until bedtime.

The day was fine. The Boss had taken the day off to go snowboarding, so things were calmer than usual. A random member of the public brought us a pizza in the middle of the afternoon. I was busy at the time so I'm not sure why. Maybe there was no reason.

The air felt different. It was only 6⁰c and it was grey, dry and windless. But it didn't feel like winter any more.

The dawn chorus started about 5am.

The book is good - set in Copenhagen so it's warming me up nicely for my weekend there in May.
