Or - more correctly - Norman Cornish.
As seems fashionable these days, they've taken the artst's studio and transported it to the museum.
I do have a soft spot for his curvy miners and skinny whippets. His life studies of his wife and kids and neighbours doing what folk did back in the day are great bits of social commentary as well as fine bits of draftsmanship.
It's a grand museum in Spennymoor Town Hall and attached is a mining museum with lovely blokes more than happy to talk about working down the pit.
