Ballydehob Viaduct

The amazing twelve arch stone viaduct in Ballydehob is a relic of the West Carberry tramway and light railway. It is part of a narrow gauge railway line that ran from Skibbereen to Schull, a fifteen mile trip, it was opened in 1886 but was never profitable and was closed in 1945.
Supper and a card meeting with freespiral tonight, then we went to the art house film 'Monsieur Lazar,' which I enjoyed, it was very moving indeed.
