My life in a day?

Myford ML10 Screwcutting Centre Lathe

Amongst the stuff in mum's loft is my dad's lathe.

Looks like a scale model of the ones I used in metalwork O Level all those years ago. In the days when we were lucky enough to mix academic and 'practical' subjects in the same curriculum. I use the quotes only because i wasn't particularly practical. I once got so carried away with using the buffing machine that a chunky key fob ended up so thin that you could shave with it - but it was getting sooooo shiny...
Meanwhile, other young gentlemen seemed to be able to cast so many lead sea fishing weights that they could sell them to Woolworth's. Strange that the local Mill's roof started leaking at about the same time..

Still, we have a cast iron lathe in the loft - albeit a smallish one - that we need to get down the loft ladder and hopefully sold for a modest sum. Got loads of groovy accessories, including a Vee groove block!

Any ideas Blippers
