Relative art
I was a day early for mother’s day. I drove through rivers of water to North Berwick to see my mother and help her with a few things. Despite being on the cusp of her 98th birthday she is looking forward.
Over the past few months she has - with help! - reorgansided the garden, replaced her sun shed and has just had her dining room redecorated. After 25 years she felt it needed to be freshened up.
So lots of sorting things out, rehanging cords for curtains and hanging pictures. Many of the paintings (other than my mother's -she still goes to an art class) - were painted by my father’s aunts. The seemed to be a skilled amateur group. Rehanging the paintings gave me a chance for a closer look as with this woodland scene.
