New hair and other small pleasures

I feel 100 pounds lighter after a much needed haircut. I haven't had a "proper" cut for ages- my mom has always done my hair and now that she lives in another country I always worry about having anyone else touch it. Not that I'm precious about my hair or anything but just felt strange sitting in another person's chair. I finally took the plunge and booked an appointment with a stranger and I'm so pleased, she did a wonderful job and was lovely to talk to. I have now fired Carl as my hair cutter man. Also I tried on some of my pre-pregnancy trousers and they fit! So those are a few of my happy moments- also having family visiting, watching Cleo learn to hopscotch and eat salad for the first time ever.
