Date Night with Prince Harry

Our Shit Mates arrived from Portsmouth early afternoon and once Mr W was home from work, we made our way up to London and parked in Imperial College where we had pre-booked a parking space.

We then headed over to Pizza Express in Cromwell Road which was delicious but rushed as we had to get to the Albert Hall but we had £21 off our bill because of a Special offer trick a friend showed me the other day (never pay pull price in Pizza Express as they always do deals on your meal found on their website).

We then headed over to the Royal Albert Hall for a Concert by the Massed Bands of Her Majesty's Royal Marines. They are incredible and we were lucky enough to be sitting opposite the Royal box so had a very blurred and distant view of Prince Harry who has just taken over from his Grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, to become the Captain General of the Royal Marines. Something Mr W, a Retired Royal Marine is thrilled with.

The music was very moving, especially when they played a piece to a video about the war.

The proceeds of the Concert go to help Injured Service Men and Women and now also a Childrens cancer Charity. There were empty seats which was a shame as so many more people could have enjoyed an amazing experience.
