Icon St Joseph

Today is one of letting go...
I wrote this icon in 1996 and today I have given to my local church of St. Joseph who is celebrating their 150th Anniversary.
I have a rather bittersweet feeling of a mother letting go of a child. At some point before I pass away I expect to give away all of my icons and artwork. This seems a big deal for me... emptiness, memories, and happiness--  that it goes to honor a small parish that has lived so long.
