A blaze of colour on a grey day

The last two days have been so damp and grey. Today there has been mist, fog, grey clouds and drizzle all day. I find a few days like this and I start to feel grey and miserable myself. It was so cheering to walk past this bright red plant on this afternoons dog walk. I had got stuck in a rut walking the dog round and round the park everyday, talking to the same people everyday. It has been nice wandering down to the local nature reserve most days over the last fortnight. Something I used to do and have now rediscovered.
