Firstly, my apologies for not being very good at replying to your comments or commenting on your journals since we returned from California. I very much appreciated all your wonderful comments while we were away. Normal service will be resumed!

Watched two very average rugby teams play two sides who were much more passionate. I’m sorry to say that I was not surprised to see England fail against France. Any team that concedes so many penalties in a game doesn’t deserve to win. And they do it time after time.

I was more surprised by Scotland’s performance. After their win against England I thought they would show the same spirit against the Irish. But it was not to be.

After all that rugby it was a rush to get out tonight to see the magnificent Skerryvore in Canterbury. We’ve heard of them but not listened to their music. We were blown away by their sound, energy, enthusiasm and musicianship. We did wonder if it would be moody, skirling bagpipe music with heavy rhythms. There was some of that, mixed with lively tracks, jolly songs, catchy tunes and lovely melodies. They are great Runrig fans and included Rocket to the Moon in the set which went down a storm with the audience.
