POSING PELICAN

Found this pelican at the Venice Pier.  He seemed quite willing to pose for pictures while others were flying or diving for fish.  Their massive wings are in three sections, and on a large pelican the wingspan is over 6 ft. wide.  Interestingly, they often sit in a tree - I can't imagine how their webbed feet can hold onto a limb!
