Silly Saturday : : Oilcans to Birds

Somebody once told me that when you are recovering from some illness or injury, and you feel that you aren't making any progress, just think back to how you felt and your level of activity at the beginning. I'm getting bored, with is probably a good sign in itself, and I managed to get dressed, putter around the house a little with a broom and a dust cloth and make a trip up to the garden to harvest some kale. Now I'll save whatever energy is left to make a kale salad...something I used to dislike but now crave for some reason.

I feel as if I have photographed every rock and sprig in the garden, which may be motivation enough to try and make it past the end of the driveway tomorrow. I'm sure you've met these two birds, but I offer them again today for their silliness. They're made in India out of flattened oil cans and although I find them totally silly, they also seem to have a certain dignity in their silliness. They are right outside the door on the hill and they bring a smile to my face every time I look at them....
