Newcastle United were playing at home this afternoon.  3 pm kick off versus Southampton.  It was a match Newcastle badly needed to win - and they did.  Newcastle scored after only 2 mins.  The crowd went WILD.  The final score was Newcastle 3 Southampton 0.  Great to get the 3 points - and keep a clean sheet too.  Every little helps.

My blip shot shows Newcastle player Ayoze Perez getting ready to kick off at 3pm.  Looks like he's conducting an orchestra but he was actually telling his team - mates where to stand.  Thought it might do for Silly Saturday. Thanks to admirer for hosting

The weather was very foggy and rainy this morning then it cleared up and during the match it was dry.  But just as I came out of the ground the heavens opened.  I headed for Waitrose, then Tesco, then home.  Having a quiet evening in front of the telly.

Excitement today for Becky and Mike - they took delivery of their brand new car.  First new car they have owned.  Its a Skoda.
