A place in time

Meeting for coffee

Met up with two of the "girls" I used to work with for a quick coffee/lunch break today.  The glamorous setting of Costa at Guildford station, no less (other coffee shops are available...yadda yadda).  It was good to see them.

Anyway, I was a few minutes early, so took a brief toddle down to the river so that I didn't turn up like Billy-No-Mates.  On the way there, I took this pic as it was where I used to work back in the late 80s.  Mind you, this building was a new build then and we moved in to fresh offices and I was on the top floor, second window from the right.

Anyway, the point of this pic was to compare with what was there a couple of incarnations beforehand - take a look at this:  Park Street 1911 .  I took my shot from roughly where the woman is standing next to the carriage shown on the right...so I was facing the other way...but you get the idea.  Perhaps I might add another Blip later showing the building before the current one.

In the afternoon, I popped over to see Mum.  Good times.

Thought for the day:

"Rules for Happiness:  something to do, someone to love, something to hope for."  (Immanuel Kant - German philosopher - 1724 - 1804)
