Barcelona Facade

Plans to work today were abandoned when the mind just wasn’t willing. Hard to believe we were in Abu Simbel and Aswan only a week ago and, somehow, we couldn’t settle and the sun in Barcelona drew us out and away for our desks.

We went to a large hardware store (shot taken from there) to explore sun terrace covering options, then had a nice lunch in a place that just does everything well - Miguelitos in Aribau 162 - and then a dash to see The Darkest Hour with Oscar-winning Gary Oldman in the lead role, in a cinema up the top of Calle Balmes. A very absorbing film that I would like my mum to see and a terrific performance from Oldman. Now in the Frankfurter reading the newspaper and doing this!
