shrooms
on a mossy tree stump..
Another grey and muted day, hushed and still. But the colours everywhere are fantastic. We dont always have autumns like this. Some years all the leaves have blown away before they get a chance to change colour, other years they are reduced to a mouldy mess by endless rain. But this year it's gorgeous, making up for the summer that never was.
Its wind down time in the Baltimore garden, not much to do and the place feels a bit sad and forlorn, abandoned for the winter. A chance to rest for me though.
Himself took Pixi for a walk this afternoon and she barged in her normal enthusiastic way into the wrong neighbours garden, got herself beaten up by a much bigger dog. We spent the afternoon in the vets getting her stitched up. She'll be fine, but she's feeling very sorry for herself now poor thing.
