Online photo sharing

This is a shot of the Jennie Lee building at the Open University in Milton Keynes.  It's an interesting modern building which has some striking examples of the use of coloured glass.  If you look carefully, you will be able to see Walton Hall which is the old building at the heart of the campus.  I would have liked more time to look around, particularly at some of the sculptures they have in the grounds.

I was there today to take part in a workshop discussing the idea that sharing photos on social media may alleviate some of the problems of loneliness and social isolation for the over 60s.  The workshop was part of the research going into this which, it is hoped, may contribute to improving the situation of some of the older people living in our communities.  

I was very pleased to be able to take part and to be able  to talk about Blipfoto and the effect that it, and similar sites could have on people's lives.

I met a couple of other Blippers, some lapsed Blippers and I hope some of the other participants might look at Blipfoto and think about joining.

I could write you a whole essay, but I won't. The day finished with waiting for the audiologist to come to sort out Dad's ears and she was caught in traffic.  She did it by 7pm!  A long day..
