Another yellow bench

This is number 2 of 30 that I’ve discovered. This is on the Corniche.

I started the day with the British Ladies walking group who walk for 1.5 hours every Thursday. Good conversation - today I spoke to a former Chaplain who was staying with her son for a short break before she returns to the UK.

Next stop - the pool and a chat with C. Very nice but rushed.

Next stop - Women’s Day lunch courtesy of work. Most attended which was nice. My old manager from Cairo was there - good to see her again. Happy she’ll be working with us.

Next stop - dashed into work to get some information to do a presentation at the UK study expo. Then went to one of the poshest hotels here to do this. Not too many possible students to speak to, but good to do. Chandeliers in the convention centre... I didn’t see the actual hotel but will on Sunday... more about that later.

Driven home by a hire car company driver. I wasn’t allowed to operate the windows by myself, he insisted I tell him my address but I told him I knew where and would tell him. He also made excuses for the men in the street who kept trying to say hello while we were waiting for the lights to change... happy international women’s day....

Glad to get home!
