Outlook Post

After all the miserable weather it was nice to get out and about today.   The beach is very clean but a lot of sand has been shifted by the storms and rocks have appeared which I have never seen before.  

Workwise caught up in a couple of bits of large organization bureaucracy which reminded me of how lucky I am to be freelancing these days.

The outlook post is part of the c19th equipment used by the Rocket Brigade which use to operate out of the Seacliff estate.   The role of the volunteer brigade was to fire a line across the bow of stricken ships.   I need to do a bit more research as I'm not sure what the metal chains at the tip of the post were used for.
