Transient Tulip

I have been quite absent from this challenge for weeks (I’m sorry Anni) but with all the traveling, flowers weren’t always an option.  

I have some tulips in a pot that looked really lovely a week ago.   I always find that tulips are even more interesting, however, when they are on the “back nine,” when the colors change and they become more textured. I am also finding that sometimes I am very partial to square format. 

We have spent the week dealing with home repairs. Ugh! Tuesday we had the plumber here to fix a couple of leaky faucets and replace the line from the dishwasher to the drain, which apparently had been dined on by a mouse. There was a lot of evidence of that when the plumber got under the dishwasher.  Today we had the service man here to measure and evaluate for replacement of the cooktop which you might remember self-destructed (with an assist from the husband)  just before we left on our last vacation.  I have decided on the Induction cook-top but may have to settle for another gas version, if the cost of putting in another 220v plug is too steep. So the size will fit - just have wait for the electrician’s verdict.  And now I sit waiting for the roofers to arrive to replace all the roof shingles that blew off last weekend.  It’s endless……
