Memories

Today another of my Aunties said goodbye to a daughter. There's something just so awful about a parent losing a child, whatever their age.

Anyway, my cousin had emigrated to the USA so her funeral was over there a few weeks back but she wanted her remains to be over here so her husband & daughter brought her home & her mum arranged a lovely memorial service.

Lots of faces old & young attended, happy memories shared & stories told. Family bickering put aside for the day :)

The bigger photo was taken by my Auntie at Kilverstone Wildlife Park I think, 3 generations from 3 families. My brother & I got taken along as Mum didn't drive & was busy with Dad's company. Yes, I'm in a denim trouser suit, it was the coolest outfit ever in the mid to late '70s!

the village, that's their cat Tigger & I think I'm cuddling a toy Koala...always an animal lover :)
