Orton chocolate factory

On Tuesday it will be Dan and Abi's mum's partner's birthday. They've been fretting a little about what to get him, so yesterday I got them to list things he likes and chocolate seemed to be something they felt confident that he enjoyed.

So, today, once I'd recorded the radio show and they were up and showered, we drove up to Orton where there is a chocolate factory with a tea room attached. We had lunch - v good - and then Dan and Abi chose a load of chocolates for the birthday present. 

After that we took a long drive home, proceeding cautiously along some of the snowier lanes, but it was absolutely beautiful and just lovely to hang out together.
