Fresh Fish!

Despite all the years I’ve lived in Spain....I had a ‘new’ experience this afternoon!
I called into a branch of a well known chain of supermarkets, in Altea..... to buy some fresh fish for supper...
. only to find the counter completely empty~clean~ without any fish at all!

I asked a sales assistant .....
and she replied that there would be no fish for sale ..... until after 7pm....
Because that was when the fishing boats would be in port....... the fish auction would have taken place ...... and the fresh fish would be brought straight to the supermarket!

So.... next time I want fresh fish..... I’ll look in the harbour to see if the boats have come in!!
