Oops....

Our trip out this afternoon got cut short!

We were heading for Surrey, in my little car because the Passat is poorly, and were doing very nicely until ..clonk, no gears except the one we were in which was second. A sound I'd heard and felt before. This time D was driving.

To cut a long story short we were rescued by the 4th emergency service and taken to our garage with the MGF on the trailer behind us.

Safely delivered, the very nice AA man brought us back to our home. All in, it had taken just over 3 hours and we are relieved we were not on the motorway when we broke down.

We had planned to eat out before heading home from Surrey. We still did, but at a venue within walking distance from home ...and it warmed us up nicely.
