The Beast Bites Back

It began to snow around 6 a.m. and by 7:45 this was the view in the back garden…at times I could hardly see the fence. It continued until after 9:00 causing chaos on the roads, the A1 traffic was stationary and Wetherby was gridlocked!

We had arranged to go to Doncaster to collect our granddaughter from school as mum had a midwife appointment.

A quick check with the motorway cameras showed a clear lane going southbound and just rain at Ferrybridge - about 12 miles away.

So we set off just after 10:00 and arrived ok about 50 minutes later. A bit slow near us but clear from Ferrybridge.

An afternoon of lunching, shopping and eating cake! Home by 6 and out with Finlay for a walk. Now blipping as I cook tea - Thai green curry.
