Mill pond
Our monthly lunch date with friends today took us up into the Surrey Hills. We drove through deep and narrow lanes with passing places. The beech trees that met overhead were beginning to change colour and on every turn there was a potential blip. It was very misty, even foggy in places. The views were quite breathtaking and all within twenty-five miles of London.
I wasn't driving so couldn't blip - so frustrating! Our destination was Friday Street, a group of three or four houses and a pub beside a mill pond, a long way from the next nearest village, and very quiet. After an excellent lunch in the pub I went for a wander in the damp and dripping scenery and at last got my blip.
