Tuesday: Balcony View

It's been a good day today. Part of it included heading out to the University of British Columbia with my French and German colleagues to have a discussion with students on the future of the EU. I am pleased to say Brexit didn't come up once.............just kidding! Of course it did, lots!

This evening K. and I were invited for dinner. Our host was Fabian, a journalist I know, originally from Sri Lanka. His partner, Samantha, whom we met for the first time tonight is a bubbly Guyanese lady and the most fabulous cook. The food was incredible. Also there was Sam's daughter, Tash, who has just completed a degree in women's and gender studies and who has no idea what she wants to do. She listened very charmingly to all the good advice we felt inclined to give her. It was a fabulous evening.
