babies!

My haircutter has hosted a hummingbird nest in the same tree in her lovely garden 3 years in a row.  Today I got to see the 8 day old babies on the way in and then 45 minutes later on the way out, with much less unruly hair, Mom was sitting on the nest, totally unconcerned about me.   This wee nest is quite an amazing structure..it looks like it's held together with a net. (look large!)  
Not really a dedicated bird blipper I just might have to keep my eye on these in the neighborhood!!
