Witches Brew!

Well I did say we go a bit Halloween mad round here!
Still trying to stay ahead of the game so today saw a bit more baking for the weekend. Strawberry jam first; with a wee drop kept for our own toast! And then on to a double batch of gingerbread or today's Witches Brew. It really is a strange looking mixture till its all melted and blended in with your wooden spoon but right from the start the smell is wonderful. The last one is just about to come out of the oven and the house is now full of it's lovely spicy warm aroma. Needless to say there's enough for the boys to get some and this might help lift the "back to school" gloom that's threatening!
