Danger!

It looks fantastic but this Mahonia leaf should never be this colour and is very poorly. Unfortunately there are 3 planted under some large trees at the bottom of a slight slope which gets very wet in winter and they have been struggling since before I started to look after this garden. This year may well be the time they come out.

I've been cutting the ivy away from the rafters of the barn it grows over today, a slow and very dusty job but needs to be done annually.

Having finished that I took a quick trip to the bike shop to collect a new battery for mine before a visit to the dentist for a check up, exciting stuff!!
