Unhinged

Somehow one of the hinges on Poppy’s laptop has snapped. This is annoying, deeply upsetting and potentially quite expensive.

So I had a trawl around eBay and found a hinge set that looked like it should fit.

They arrived today and so I set to work armed with only a screwdriver and a plectrum.

After a bit of swearing I got it apart. I removed the broken hinge only to find the bit of the lid the hinge screws into has broken as well. More swearing ( don’t worry Poppy, who was helping, had headphones on. She needed them to hear the Netflix thing she was watching). Anyway I have used vast quantities of epoxy resin in an effort to hold it together. I’m now resisting checking it;) fingers crossed it holds.
