Barking up the right tree.

A tree surgeon that we know, called by this morning and offered us most of a large sycamore that he had to fell.
We ended up with about 4 tons of wood, for £80.
What you can see is about half of it ; the rest , J and I have put on pallets, up the side of the garage.
We'll have to split it all and let it season, but it should last us for 2 years, hopefully, saving quite a lot of money.
A bargain indeed but sore backs, for us old pensioners !
