Robin Every Time

Whose voice sings the loudest?
And whose chest swells the proudest?
Which bird looks the roundest?
It's robin every time.

Not only did this morning's birdsong confirm that it's spring - but I found frogspawn in the pond - in exactly the same 'corner' as previous years. I put 'corner' in inverted commas as it is, after all, a round pond!

Cooler than yesterday, as there was a strong wind, but it meant that the towels dried on the line in no time. Another sign of spring. And now the wind's dropped again. Incredible to think what the weather was doing a week ago, when the pond was covered in thick ice!
