Day 8 - Arrived in Memphis

Today was a travel day. A long travel day. 7 hours in the car from Dallas to Memphis. We had already decided that it was going to be broken by a stop at Mrs SoL’s favourite eating hole - a Red Lobster. We did, and she had an amazing lobster, at least 2lbs we figured. At the end of the journey, we settled into the hotel, which has views of the river. Mrs SoL was tired and decided to have a rest. I walked down to Beale St to see what was happening. The policeman I talked to told me that it was always relatively quiet on Tuesdays. I still managed to find a bar with a live band (many seem to have live bands). Very good they were too. Treated myself to a couple of beers and retired to the hotel. Graceland in the morning.
