Magic Moment
The clouds were thick this morning with only a few slithers of brightness in the eastern sky. However, as I have learned from experience, the sky can change quickly and as there was a breeze it might just blow the clouds apart.
As the sun reached for the horizon a band of red appeared and hopes were raised. On its own the red area was too small and surrounded still be walls of greyness. However, slowly but surely the clouds started the separate slightly and enough for the rays of the rising sun to work their morning magic on them. For a brief few moments the grey clouds were transformed into shades of orange and pink, interspersed with blue sky, that reflected beautifully off the water.
No sooner had it appeared when it started to fade and a few moments later it was all but gone. Someone else seemed to notice the sun was up as Tommy Titmouse landed on the skip of my hat looking to be fed. OK, the link shot was taken a few minutes later, however have you ever tried blipping a bird on your head!
As an experiment, I used the wee compact for this morning's shots and quite like the results!
