back-blip
Today we collected a huge pile of lovely leaves and made lots of pictures with them. Amelie was really into it, and sat for ages glueing and sticking. She ran off and washed her hands (they were quite gluey!) and had a play then returned to create a final masterpiece which was so heavy with leaves and glue I had to put it in the airing cupboard to dry...basically she piled loads of leaves on top of on another, inbetween thick layers of glue. I'm intigued to see how its going to turn out. The other ones, slightly more minimal, are beautiful.
Whilst she was busy glueing and sticking, I was drawing round some of the more interesting leaves onto card so we will probably paint them tomorrow. I was hoping to do it onto tracing paper and then hang them up but I can't find my tracing paper. So I might just have to tell her to paint both sides or I'll put a backing on them.
Other than that, we have had an uneventful day. Spaghetti Bolognaise for dinner, Amelie asked for plain pasta after she tried and didn't enjoy the sauce. She then pushed her hands right into it and told us it felt like seaweed. A fairly accurate observation I thought!
