Morning across the Meadow
I woke first this morning before it was light outside, which is very rare. Mr. Fun is the morning person in this household. And of the three pooches, Mitzi is the morning mutt!
Anyway, Mitzi had been stirring about in her little sleep house and I had been tossing and turning (I think disturbed by some stuff I had read the night before). So I put some socks and shoes on and my hoodie sweatshirt so I could take the pups outside for their morning stroll through the backyard.
Mr. Fun woke as we were about to make our exit from the master bedroom and said, "I'll take them out!" and I insisted that I was up and I could do it. So down the stairs we went and then out into the backyard. I took one look at the cloudy scene and knew I needed my camera. So when Mr. Fun appeared a few moments later, I put him on pup patrol and I headed back in to get my camera.
This scene was so much more impressive in person. Sorry! But hey, take a look at it in "BIG." Just tap the magnifying glass on the menu below the photo. I just don't think my camera did justice. The view was spectacular and the crisp, cool autumn air was delicious.
Now it is late, way late. I've finished my online office hours with my students and it is now time to crawl into bed. I am so tired. This semester has been big and wide and I'm exhausted or maybe I'm just OLD. No, I'm not going to start complaining. I know better . . . "no positive power in complaining." Anyway, I am tired. So it's time to go nighty, nighty.
Good night from Southern California.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
