Day 7 - Fort Worth

Meet Pugsley, one of the Fort Worth Stockyard steers. They decided several years ago to ensure that the herd of traditional longhorn cattle were continued to be raised here. Twice a day, for the tourists, they are driven through the stockyards by cowboys - real ones. They dont`t seem too bothered by the experience. The stockyards themselves were a little underwhelming, if I am being totally honest. It was a Monday, so no special events were taking place and tourists were thin on the ground, making it a bit empty. Still, the major part of the tourist attraction seemed to be western outfit and trinkets for sale. Several shops, all selling exactly the same products as far as we could tell. There are two places where bull riding and rodeo events take place. Again empty but worth seeing. After three hours, we had seen all we needed to see, so moved on.
Mrs SoL had located a Costco nearby. Guess where we went next.
The evening was spent back in Dallas. Tomorrow is a long 7-hour journey to Memphis. Yee-ha.
