DAILY VISITOR

This friendly visitor hides at our end of this golf course pond, hoping to snap up an unaware bird that stops by to eat.  He's totally still and difficult to spot while he waits, but is incredibly quick when he attacks.  So far the birds have been quicker. :-)  I was amazed to see he's 9-10 ft. long when he was sunning on the shore the other day.  Before that I'd only seen his head and a bit of his back, and had thought he was a junior gator.
