and through the wire...

Please Release Me (Let Me Go)

Ok snow, enough, I am bored of blipping you... yet you are still dominating my life at the moment!

Well did anyone see us... we made it out... we were looking for the welcome party... did you forget about us?

We decided to take the plunge and begin digging ourselves... ok, one of our cars... out. My late night return on Tuesday before the snow arrived meant we didn't leave a car at the end of the track like our neighbours did. Even when a thaw comes, it turns into a splish splash nightmare, so having a car on the outside is good.

Ms H was keen to get out too, surprisingly since it meant school tomorrow, so put in some great digs. We ended up taking the top off about 50m of the hill, between the tractor tracks, which might have ripped off the exhaust etc , despite the extra clearance we had. It was rough and I am sure I will feel it more tomorrow. We managed to get the car down fairly easily then down the rest of the track without digging. The main goal however, was to try not to get it stuck and block the track, or churn up the snow, but it looks ok, and is a relief! Now it means a half mile trek up or down, with a sledge carrying the groceries... aye it's a tough life so it is.

Since we were out and the world was our oyster and there was no welcome party (aw), we hot stepped it back to the house, smartened ourselves up a bit, then back down to hit the town and squeezed in a showing of Lady Bird so we could make a call on the oscars. We loved it, but don't think it will best picture... I will make a call.... 3 billboards...

And yes, how could I not choose Sydney Devine's version?
