Concrete jumble

Some days one blip just doesn't seem enough! This morning was really foggy, and I went out for an hour or so with my camera, getting loads of (in my humble opinion) great shots. Trying to choose one this evening was tricky - but my cousin helped me pick this one. It doesn't show the mist, but I still like it anyway. This was taken on Hastings beach, where there are a load of strange concrete shapes piled up against a giant breakwater. I had fun clambering around them and finding a load of different views.

Also today, we went to visit our friend Joan, who's 99. It was so lovely to see her again after a couple of years, and to hear her reminiscences of living through both World Wars in Hastings. We mentioned something about the internet, and she said, "I hate to show my ignorance, but what is the internet?"

Interesting experience trying to describe the internet to a 99 year old...!
