Great Chieftain o the Puddin Race

The thaw arrived which made the roads worse. We picked up Gerry, Linda and Colin and drove slithering even in 4 x4 to Katy’s annual Burns Supper - much belated, as she was in New Zealand on Burns Day. We were low in number due to the weather, but those who made it enjoyed it.

Mr C did his usual address to the haggis which was reekin and rich. We had all the usual toasts and addresses, and Colin and Fran sang.

Mr C had to get the shovel out on the slippy return journey. Tomorrow I think the roads will be clear and it will be back to a grey and wet week.
