Sign of change

It's been a brutal week but I think things maybe taking a turn for the better.

Today we've seen a bit of a thaw and lots of running water.

I spent most of the morning clearing and cleaning up in the garage and burning lots of wood in the outside burning bin. I really want to crack on with converting the garage into more of a utility room. We have a brand new washing machine and dryer waiting to be installed but first I need to board a wall and get rid of a load of stuff in the garage.

The afternoon was much more pleasant as our friends Laura and Brian came round to see our house for the first time. The have recently moved a lot closer to us so we are looking forward to visiting theirs soon.

We had a good Sunday roast in our local pub and had a great catch up.
