Corvus Frugilegus

Or Rook to you and me.
I was watching for our local robin to pop out of the hedge for a quick bite at the bird feeders when Mr Rook touched down on the fence. Like most corvids, the rook is an exceptionally clever bird and seems to have fewer unpleasant habits than, say, the magpies. Those of you with decent eyesight will have spotted the spots on this photo - yes, it was snowing, again!
Late Result:- apparently the snow berg blocking the road has just been cleared. But we have lost our quiet traffic free walk as a result. Wonder where we will be able to walk tomorrow?
