Come back snow...

..All is forgiven. Driving back down the A11 towards Norwich from Cambridge in torrential rain. It's horrible. Driving down at 10 this morning the A149 to Swaffham had been made passable by snow plough, but in places only just, with deep piles of snow banked up at the edge of the road where ever there were open fields either side. The wind has had a lot to do with making the roads a problem, not just the snow, which mostly wasn't actually that deep.

We've had a nice day with Jon's family to celebrate big John's birthday. I brought Mollie along via my iPad and FaceTime, and she was passed around the group for a chat with everyone. It was quite funny. I heard from Daniel early this morning to say he was safely back in Coventry after his week long uni field trip to Venice. It was good to know his flight had got him back safely. I think the thaw had come just at the right time where that was concerned. I like to know everyone is ok.

So back to the rain. About an hour to go. Call the Midwife tonight then back to normal tomorrow- whatever that is!
