Avocet

Guernsey Birders are excited at the moment as we’ve had lots of new migrants, and this Beautiful Avocet is one of them. I was quite a long way off with my Bridge camera, but I’m happy to have not only seen it but blipped it too. I got several shots but really wanted it to stop gobbling so I could get it’s beautiful beak. I love it’s fluffy underneath too, it reminds me of the frilly pants babies used to wear ;0) beautiful day today, and we were out for lunch ar my Sister & Brother in law, lovely lunch. The extra is Mont Heralt headland looking towards Jersey.
