Mothers welcome but leave your children at home!  Of course many (adult) sons and daughters will be taking their Mum out for a special meal next weekend but it was the way I first read these signs that made me take the photo.


A slow walk this morning and a brisk one later. Most of the snow has gone at low levels and the paths are safe again. I undid the good work by buying cream cakes on the way back this afternoon.
