The Old Man

Met up with my sister and brother-in-law for lunch today to catch up with how their holiday went and to hand over some documents relating to Mums death.

We then went to visit Dad.
What a great day he was having - talking reasonably clearly, understanding and having a laugh.
He was read all the cards of sympathy and spent ages looking at them (even though he wouldn't be able to read anything because he has put his glasses somewhere and we couldn't find them).
We also told him when Mums servicce was going to be held and that he was going to be taken to it by staff from the care home.
I think going to Mums funeral will help him although he will obviously be very upset for a while.
