The Fade

I have been meaning to get a proper sunset image with these two trees as a focal point. It takes 20 mins to drive up here and so often, I have seen spectacilar sunsets and envisioned how stunning these trees would look.  

Finally, I remembered, planned accordingly and sat and waited, taking intermittent photos.  Well.....the sun simply faded away.  No clouds to make it interesting, no spectacular colour show, just a fade away. *sighs*

Regardless, it made for a nice drive out into the country  : )

Hope you are having a relaxing Sunday.  I am off to the harbour to see if I can see a melanistic gull spotted there.  Crossing fingers....
