Thin on the ground
Misty and damp this morning with a fine snow coming down as I walked up to church.
( Saw some interesting large bird prints in the snow along with the dogs, cats and feet.) The icicles at the front of church were dripping when I got there so it is definitely thawing but the snow isn't giving up without a last fling. The blip is taken five minutes before the service starts with Chris standing at the top of the church path which had been cleared yesterday.
Needless to say this was quite off putting for out predominantly elderly congregation so they were very thin on the ground. The singing was OK though with eight in the choir, the pianis, priest and two wardens (Chris being one) and just four in the congregation! One of those is over 80 though.
The snow had stopped by the time we went for coffee. It is foggy and miserable out there now but hopefully we will get out for the monthly church curry night in Bingley tonight.
There are a good 8-12 of us who are now regulars.
